Reflection: for the Yugoslavia case.


Samantha Power writes about the failure of the international company in the town of Srebrenica. What happened in Srebrenica became the image of the international corporations failure Bosnia. But after Srebrenica, the non-confrontation policy became unsurmountable to defend. The largest NATO bombardment in history commenced shortly after the massacre, it took deuce-ace weeks then the Serbs surrendered. Samantha Power is very critical of US foreign policy in this bind.

The UN peacekeepers are not being praised by Power either, as Robert Fisk recently said in his article were he compares the situation in Syria with what happened in Bosnia, and he called the Dutch peacekeeping force one of the most pathetic war machine units in the world.

Richard Holbrooke called the Dutch UN unit were facing a mischance waiting to happened in Bosnia. This lastly happened but it would cost the Bosniaks a lot of time, suffering and expiration before the US came to the rescue. Eventually it became impossible to ignore the cries for back up coming from Bosnia. The Senate majority leader, Bob Dole was getting progressively frustrated over the gap between the rhetoric employ in US foreign policy and the practice of it.
