Evaluation essay

An evaluation essay is an essay that analyses all aspects of something then shows what stand the writer takes. To evaluate is to test something and know all its strength and weaknesses then make a standing point as a writer. For example if one was to evaluate the nuclear energy sector one should have all the necessary knowledge required about the subject of the topic.

One should have adequate information that is relevant to the topic and if he does not research, is supposed to be done by the writer. For example in the mentioned topic, the writer should know what the benefits of nuclear energy are such as production of large amounts of dependable power to feed thousands of homes and factories. The writer should also know the disadvantages that area associated with the subject such as production of weapons of mass destruction.

All this information is for the writer to know. If the writer does not have all this information with him then he will not be able to write a good evaluation paper. The essay must follow a given style or format for example there must be a good introduction of the essay.

The introduction should contain the subject that will be evaluated and in the body, the writer will show all that he has learnt on the subject highlighting its strength and weaknesses and in the conclusion the writer will show where he stands on his opinions about the subject.

An evaluation paper is one that aims at educating the student as he has to research on all aspects of his subject in order to write something good and worthy of good grades. Evaluation papers should be given to students in all types of courses to add more knowledge to them.
