The Victorian Age The United States during the second half of the 1800s was in a stage called The Victorian Age. The basic style of this eon was actually borrowed from the English or to be more lead Queen Victoria hence the name Victorian Age. The middle class people would dress as nice as possible however not some as showy as the high class. The lower class people would dress in basically rags.
