In Women in Love, D.H. Lawrence expresses many womens liberationist views on marriage, advocate and whether women perpetrate their own oppression. Some critics pure tone that Lawrence provides a balance justification of womens power all over men and male dominance over cleaning woman.
In the school text we notice how Lawrence chooses to present women as rebellious or in a way that challenges conventional ideas. It seems that some females were slightly against the conventional expectations that hunting lodge had of them and auberges reaction is expressed through Hermiones: Hermione was unsounded for some time, watching Ursula with slow, pensive eyes. This suggests that Ursulas mind farming and feelings were unexpected of young females and was a difficult ordeal for society and families to accept.
