Functions of Management at the oceanic Academy Sailing Center

At the Naval Academy Sailing Center the success of their operation drive out be contributed to the application of the quadruple functions of management, which ar planning, organizing, leading, and absolute.
Let us first start out by defining what the four functions of management are. First, planning can be defined as forecasting, developing objectives, developing procedures, and developing policies (Andrews, 2004). Organizing is defined when an organization assembles and coordinates the human, financial, physical, informational, and resources ask to achieve goals (Bateman & Snell, 2009). Leading is decision making, communicating, motivating, and developing people (Andrews, 2004). Finally, controlling is the departingness to accept feedback and finding ways to improve the quality of the product.
The Naval Academy Sailing Centers mission is to instruct basic seamanship and navigation skills to the brigade of midshipmen by providing them with various types of raising sail craft and classroom instruction.



In order for the coast center to be a success, the Director of Naval Sailing must rely on department heads to maintain the areas of the appoint programs and to work with each other s to achieve the mission. The grasp of command is composed of the Director of Navy Sailing, the Deputy Director, the Budgeting Officer, the varsity Offshore Officer, the Intercollegiate Sailing Officer, the Offshore Sailing aggroup Officer, and the Maintenance Officer.
Weekly the Director of Naval Sailing will meet with department heads and discuss, in an open forum, events currently winning place. Additionally, the director uses this forum to discuss each programs maintenance requirements, which programs are using particular sail boats, budgeting requirements for each department, and administrative requirements.
