The honorary society Awards or more commonly referred to as the Oscars is a Hollywood consequence held annu in ally to honor the excellence of film industry professionals including directors, actors, and writers. However, the Academy Awards ar more than just a carry, they are a way to persuade and promote the viewer to uniform and go out and watch the actor or directors work. This year, the eighty-first Oscars were hosted by Hugh Jackman and I chose to focus on the lootation of the Best pretender to show the three Aristotelian methods of ruling ( system of logic, emotion, and morals) at work.
For the Best Actor presentation the honorary society chose to do things differently than in forward years. Rather than having just one or two presenters, the academy chose to have five past superiors of the award each present one of the nominees with a short commentary. Robert Di Nero, Michael Douglas, Ben Kingsley, Adrian Brody, and Anthony Hopkins each gave their speech about their nominee trying to convince us, the viewer, that their candidate deserved this award or at least our attention.
Robert Di Nero was the presenter for Sean Penn the eventual winner of the award. He applied every aspect of the method of persuasion to convince us that Sean Penn was the best of the five.
He used logic by stating what a diverse actor he is presentation his acting range from a surfer dude to a gay civil rights activist. He also stimulates our emotion by telling us what a outstanding man Penn is. express us about his work advocating human rights and talking to universe leaders to better the world he lives in. Lastly, he uses the viewers morals to further sway his or her opinion to like Sean Penn. Stating that he played a gay man is a major deal given the times. Homosexual civil rights are a testy subject in this country and some people have strong feeling about it.
