Instead she hides that she lost it and bought a innovative diamond necklace. After suffering for decade years to quiz and pay off the debt she finds out that the diamond necklace was fake and clean costume jewelry. If Madame Loisel would suck up on the nose told her friend she lost the necklace she could have had a better life, but she lied and suffered for ten years and had to live a difficult life.
Another life lesson in the story The Necklace, is why try to be someone else when you write out you are not. People try and act like people they arent to try and fit in.
