The focus of our clinical assignment this week was assessing the nutritional status of a persevering. The sound judgement tools that I used were mini Nutritional Assessment(Vellas, Villas, & Abellan 2001) and the Geriatric depression Scale (Yesavage et al 1983). The Minin Nutritional assessment was done in a public area. Doing any type of verbal assessment with this patient proved difficult since the patient was very hard of tryout and refused to wear hearing aids. The first part of the assessment complicated a blanket section to determine if the full assessment was needed.
